Our business

Food production

To help reduce the cost of living for local people,  and to create employment opportunities, we have a cattle farm, abattoir, and fishing operations (a joint venture with the Northern Territory government).

We provide training and jobs in our forest works, timber harvesting, timber mill, saw mill, wood work, metal work, cement works and block making factories. These enterprises manufacture building materials such as roof trusses, cement and bricks, and a range of quality furniture and hand-crafted homeware items.

Our growing retail trade includes a butcher in Nhulunbuy, and a community shop, café and nursery in Gunyangara.

Specialist areas

Specialist areas include a joint venture — Delta With Gumatj — for building construction, a mobile fabrication and repair team, a mechanical workshop, waste management and ground maintenance.

Event management

Our purpose built site at Gulkula hosts cross cultural awareness training, the annual Garma Festival, and corporate events.

Gulkula will also be the location of a yet to be established small bauxite mine, and the new Mining Training Centre, which will be operational late 2016. The Mining Training Centre will offer Indigenous job seekers the opportunity to undertake job-specific training, and develop the skills to enter full-time employment in mining and other industries, including positions in an active mine.
